The Good, The Bad, and The (Seemingly) Unlovable

March 14th, 2022

What if, just for today, you were to practice complete and total unconditional love for any part of yourself that is working through grief, anger, fear, doubt, shame, depression, sadness, hurt, jealousy, resentment, etc?

What if instead of viewing these feelings as bad or “unspiritual” or needing to be gotten rid of,  you could see them as a holy invitation? An invitation to practice non-judgement, unconditional love, and compassion with yourself-right where you are in the comfort of your own home?

Whatever challenge is coming up for you right now is NOT coming up because you did something wrong, rather because you did something right. It’s coming up because you’ve done enough work on yourself that you’re now ready to heal deeper levels.

It’s coming up because as you become more aware of who you are, whatever you are not must come up and out. You’re ready to heal deeper, feel deeper, and know yourself deeper. It’s coming up to be seen, heard, and loved by you-in only the way that YOU can.

The way through…

Try on a practice of being ridiculously and embarrassingly kind to yourself today. Practice speaking to yourself as you would a beloved child. Practice suspending the expectation that you “should” be feeling anything different than what you do-and lean into it.

When you do this consistently you send the message to yourself  “I get to be human, messy, imperfect, and I’m still worthy of receiving love”.

And you are.
