Celebrating One Year Off of Thyroid Medication

I have so much I can share about the journey of it all but right now all I want to say is this:
You CAN heal.
Don’t ever let anyone tell you a diagnosis is the be all end all.
Don’t ever let anyone tell you that there’s nothing you can do about your situation except maybe take some medication and hope for the best.
Don’t ever let anyone decree an impossibility over your life, your health, or your future well-being.
Educate yourself. Learn about your body and what it needs to thrive. Regulate your nervous system. Cleanse your organs. Feel and express your feelings. Set healthy boundaries. Find a sense of purpose and belonging. Train your brain to think differently and expect differently. Get support. Practice elevated emotional states EVERY SINGLE DAY. I can’t stress the importance of this enough.
You CAN heal.
The stinker of it is, you MUST be willing to change. Ugh. This can be so hard because everything in you will want to fight to keep you the same.
But, there is no work-around on this. Radical healing requires radical change. And radical change requires radical commitment.
It takes commitment to make lifestyle changes and implement them, even when it’s not at all convenient.
It takes commitment to do the inner work, even when it’s wildly uncomfortable.
It takes commitment to stay the course, even when it means being judged or criticized.
But if you really want healing, you must allow yourself to be TRANSFORMED.
This can be beautiful AND painful. Learning how to presence the painful stuff without resisting it is an under taught yet essential skill to have on any healing journey, and just in life in general.
We can’t skip over the hard stuff and get to the goodies. It doesn’t work that way.
Say yes to the fullness of all that arises for you.
You CAN heal. Stay the course. I promise you it’s worth it. Life is worth it.
YOU are worth it.
